About Our Practice

New technologies are changing the way medicine is practiced. While to most common way of interacting with patients is the traditional in-person outpatient office visit, internet technologies such as email, video conferencing, secure texting, secure online document submission, and others have opened up new approaches for patient access and care. This trend has been greatly accelerated by the COVID pandemic, where patient safety with in-person visits became a great concern.

Dr. Finnerty has been practicing his profession in both solo practice, and more recently with the Franciscan Medical Group, a large multispecialty organization in Tacoma WA. He left the Franciscan group in July 2020 and has now set up a new practice using these internet-based technologies.

Initial contact with our practice is by email, after which we send general information about vasectomy reversal, pricing, and how to arrange a consultation. Those interested in a consult about vasectomy reversal are then sent links to secure documents such as patient information and medical history. Consultations are performed either by phone or video conferencing with Zoom. This allows great flexibility in scheduling: no long waits for appointments, scheduled at your convenience, including evenings and weekends if you wish. There is no charge for the consultation, and no obligation to proceed with surgery.

There is also a great deal of flexibility with scheduling surgery if you wish to proceed, although this is also dependent on the availability of operating room time. The procedure is performed either at Walters Day Surgery Center (St Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma) or Gig Harbor Same Day Surgery.

Payment for services is done through Stripe (an online payment service run by Wells Fargo Bank). It is highly secure and very easy to use.

We love hearing from you, and you may contact us at any time if you have any questions.
