• Point Defiance Park is one of the top 20 largest urban parks in the United States. The park encompasses several major attractions, including a tranquil Japanese Garden, rose and other specialty gardens, a scenic drive, 14 miles of hiking trails, picnic areas, saltwater beaches and a marina.
• Washington State Historical Museum:located on Pacific Avenue adjacent to the historic, restored Union Station, The Historical Museum traces the history of the Pacific Northwest from its earliest times.
• Old Town and Ruston Way: it’s a short drive from downtown to charming Old Town. Enjoy a leisurely walk along historic Ruston Way, with it’s fine restaurants, parks, and spectacular views of Commencement Bay.

Tacoma is located on I-5, 35 miles south of Seattle, and only a 40 minute drive from downtown Seattle with all of its attractions.

If you are planning on spending some time sightseeing in our area, the best time to arrive is before your surgery, as your activity will be limited afterwards.
